The Kerala Agricultural University established the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology in the year 1985 by upgrading the ‘Institute of Agricultural Technology’ (IAT), established in 1975. “Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology “(KCAET), came into existence on October 2, 1985 under the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology.
