The Centre of Excellence in Post-Harvest Technology (CE-PHT), Agri Business Incubator, Department of Processing and Food Engineering, organized an Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) in Food Processing on 12 March 2026. A total of 20 participants from different parts of the district attended the programme.
The NSS unit of KCAEFT successfully organized an outreach programme at the Old Age Home, Thavanur on 12.03.2026. NSS volunteers visited the home and spent meaningful time interacting with the residents. Cultural programmes and interactive sessions were conducted, which brought joy and companionship to the elderly. As part of the initiative, a total amount of ₹10,000, collected from the staff and faculty members of KCAEFT, was donated to support the welfare and daily needs of the residents.
Student Interaction on KAU–WSU Dual Degree Programme organized at KCAEFT-Tavanur
A student interaction programme on the KAU–WSU Dual Degree Collaboration was successfully conducted on 21 January 2026 at KCAEFT, Tavanur, under the auspices of the Academic Offices (UG & PG). The programme witnessed the active participation of a large number of students and faculty members.

Agricultural Machinery Demonstration Mela – ‘Farm Mech 2026’ organized at KCAEFT-Tavanur
In view of Kerala’s small landholdings and acute labour scarcity, a three-day Agricultural Machinery Demonstration Mela – ‘Farm Mech 2026’ was organized to promote context-specific farm mechanization. The mela, proposed in collaboration with the College Alumni Association and AICRP schemes, was held on 22–24 January 2026 in connection with Agricultural Engineering Day.
Republic Day Celebrated
The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with pride and patriotic fervour at KCAEFT-Tavanur.
Hoisting the national flag, Dean of Faculty (Agrl. Engg.), Dr. Jayan P. R. reminded everyone of the strength of India’s Constitution and the collective responsibility of citizens to uphold its values.
Warm greetings and messages were delivered by Dr. Abdul Jabbar, Head, Instructional Farm; Dr. Priya G. Nair, Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malappuram; Dr. Abdul Hakkim, Head, SWC Division; and Er Princy, NSS Officer.
KAU and its constituent colleges, viz., CoA, Vellayani, CoA, Vellanikkara, CoA, Padannakkad, CoA, Ambalavayal, KCAET, Tavanur, CoF, Vellanikkara and is various UG/PG/PhD programs including MBA ABM, got ICAR accreditation for a period of five years w.e.f. 11.03.2024 to 10.03.2029 with an Overall Score of 3.14/4.00 equivalent to Grade A.
