Mandate

  • Teaching, research, consultancy and extension in the area of Hydrology, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering, Watershed Modelling & Management, Remote Sensing and GIS Applications, Surveying and Levelling,  Soil Science and Engineering  and allied topics.

  1. Precision Farming Development Centre (PFDC), Tavanur funded by National Committee on Plasticulture Application in Horticulture (NCPAH)
  2. SHM funded project "Construction of a farm pond to augment the irrigation potential at KCAET Tavanur Campus".
  3. Hariyali Watershed Project–Strategies for sustainable watershed development for Ernad Taluk.
  4. Revolving fund scheme on Geospatial Division.

  1. Preparation of master plan for the comprehensive development of different agriculture farms of Calicut and Kannur districts.
  2. Master plan for the watershed development of 4 Block Panchayats of Malappuram district.
  3. Master plan for the revitalisation of lift irrigation schemes of Tavanur Gramapanchayat.
  4. Action plan for the development of landslide affected areas of Thumburmuzhi livestock farm.
  5. Training on DGPS and Total Station surveying.
  6. Training on planning and execution of soil and water conservation engineering works.
  7. Training on watershed planning and management.
  8. Trainings in Precision Farming and Micro Irrigation.
  9. FIP on soil survey & landuse planning, remote sensing and GIS, Total Station survey and DGPS.
